Is Historo free?
Yes. Historo is free to download and there are no ads. Many lessons and chronicles, the endless quiz, the weekly tournament, your daily streak and a course to work through are all there at no cost. An optional subscription, Historo+, opens up the rest of the catalog for those who want it.
What is Historo+?
Historo+ is the optional subscription that opens up the whole app. A lot stays free: a run of lessons and chronicles in every category, the endless quiz, weekly tournaments, your daily streak and a course of your own to work through. Historo+ adds the rest — every lesson and chronicle in the catalog, any topic you like researched on request, unlimited courses, unlimited chat with your AI guide, quiz hints and skips, and extra streak freezes.
Which Historo+ plans are available?
Two: monthly and yearly, with the yearly plan working out cheaper per month. You subscribe inside the app, through the App Store or Google Play, and the price is shown in your own currency before you confirm anything — it varies by country, which is why it isn’t listed here.
How do I cancel Historo+?
Through the store you subscribed with, not inside Historo — that’s Settings on your iPhone for an App Store subscription, or the Subscriptions page in Google Play on Android. The app’s Settings → My subscription screen links you straight there. You keep Historo+ until the period you’ve already paid for runs out, then Historo carries on in free mode with your account, XP, level, streak and everything you’ve finished still intact.
Does Historo+ work on all my devices?
Yes. Sign in with the same Google or Apple account and Historo+ unlocks everywhere you use Historo, iPhone and Android alike, along with your XP, level, streak and history. Billing stays with the store you subscribed through, so that’s where you’d change or cancel it.
Do I need an account to start?
No. You can start learning right away. Sign in with Google or Apple whenever you like, and your XP, level, streak and history follow you to your next device.
How accurate is the AI-generated content?
Lessons, chronicles and quizzes are generated under strict historical-accuracy rules — no invented events, no alternate history. Historo is built for curiosity and revision; for academic work, always check exact dates and figures against primary sources.
Which languages does Historo speak?
Twelve: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Greek, Russian and Ukrainian. Lessons, chronicles, courses, quizzes and chat are all generated in the language you choose. You can request new languages directly through the app.
Which devices does Historo run on?
iPhone and iPad on the App Store, and Android phones and tablets on Google Play.
How do I contact support?
Write to us at historo.app/contact — there's a short form there, plus quick answers on subscriptions, account deletion and privacy. You can also reach the same team from Settings inside the app, or by emailing support@historo.app. A human reads every message, and we usually reply within a couple of days.
